GLEISTEIN ReLite - Universal Rope from Recycled Raw Materials 54947-bvs

ReLite is perfectly suited for almost all applications on board and is made from bio-based materials. Comfortable handling and excellent stretch properties. Despite its minimal elongation, the rope has high strength and flexibility, making it excellent as halyard, sheet or trim line. The core is made from bio-based Dyneema® SK78 and cover from recycled polyester.

The new ReBoB and ReLite products, which are unique in the water sports industry, are the result! Gleistein is committed to bio-based, recycled raw materials, CO²-neutral production and is doing its part to actively care for the environment with this rope series – without any compromise on quality and performance.

rPET is polyester, 100% of which is obtained from recycled PET bottles, which are remelted and granulated to become the raw material for newly spun fibres. This method of production ensures high purity for consistent quality in addition to excellent properties such as high strength, resilience, abrasion resistance, and durability.

Bio-based Dyneema® fibres are completely bio-based, whereby the entire production process is sustainably managed and fibres are produced under organic conditions. The petroleum component naphtha is replaced by organic naphtha derived from sustainably managed, certified forests, in a strictly controlled mass balancing procedure. Despite this switch in production, quality and perfomance remains unchanged.

Cleaning ropes
Please note the following when cleaning/washing polyester and Dyneema ropes:

• Hand wash:
  • Place the rope in a large bucket or bathtub and fill with warm water.
  • Clean the rope thoroughly with your hands.
  • Do not use regular detergent.
  • Do not use fabric softener.Then wash the rope with clean water.
• Washing machine:
  • Only wash rope in a cotton bag.
  • Wash at a maximum of 30 degrees.
  • Do not use regular detergent.
  • Do not use fabric softener.
• Do not tumble dry the rope.
  • After washing, allow the ropes to drip dry (protected from UV radiation).
