Environmentally friendly ReBoB from Gleistein is made from 100% recycled PET bottles and makes the perfect mooring rope. With excellent handling properties, the UV resistant mooring rope is durable, with low water absorption. Made of high-quality fibres that are extremely flexible and abrasion resistant. Cover and core are made from recycled polyester.

NEW GLEISTEIN PRODUCTS FOR BETTER SUSTAINABILITY

rPET is polyester, 100% of which is obtained from recycled PET bottles, which are remelted and granulated to become the raw material for newly spun fibres. This method of production ensures high purity for consistent quality in addition to excellent properties such as high strength, resilience, abrasion resistance, and durability.

Number of mooring lines

Ideally, a boat is secured with four mooring lines.
The stern line is attached to the stern of the boat to maintain a constant distance between the boat and the mooring. The bow line serves exactly the same purpose. The two springs prevent the boat from drifting forwards and backwards. The springs are particularly important in waters with high and low tides or in waters with strong currents.

• Hand wash:
  • Place the rope in a large bucket or bathtub and fill with warm water.
  • Clean the rope thoroughly with your hands.
  • Do not use regular washing powder.
  • Do not use fabric softener.
  • Then wash the rope with clean water.
• Washing machine:
  • Only wash rope in a cotton bag.
  • Wash at a maximum of 30 degrees.
  • Do not use regular washing powder.
  • Do not use fabric softener.
• Do not tumble dry the rope.
  • After washing, allow the ropes to drip dry (protected from UV radiation).
